Overview

The Project

DirectHire is a modern consultancy and resume builder platform developed using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js). The project focuses on providing a seamless user experience with smooth transitions, dynamic content handling, and an elegant, responsive interface that empowers users to build professional resumes and connect with consultancy services.

The Challenge

Building a platform that combines consultancy services with an intuitive resume builder required balancing complex form workflows with a polished, premium feel. The UX had to guide diverse user groups — from first-time job seekers to experienced professionals — through multi-step processes without friction.

Our Solution

We built the frontend with React, styled using Tailwind CSS, and enhanced with animations from Framer Motion and GSAP. Smooth scrolling and transitions are powered by Lenis, while lightweight styling is achieved with Goober. Zod handles robust form validation, and React Router v6 powers seamless navigation. The backend is handled by Node.js and Express.js, deployed on an Ubuntu VPS using Nginx as both a reverse proxy and web server. Open Graph integration ensures rich link previews and optimized sharing.
